Joff brings an energy and freshness to his work that is immediately engaging.?He paints primarily in oils using a palette knife, a technique that allows him to create both strong texture and smooth blends of colour. In this demonstration, Joff will share how he uses the knife to evoke light, form, and atmosphere, transforming landscapes into dramatic and expressive compositions.?Although based in Suffolk, Joff often paints scenes inspired by his travels in Scotland, using memory, photographs, and artistic licence to heighten their drama. His talk will include insights into materials, technique, and how texture can bring landscapes vividly to life.
